Rising rent costs are pushing millennials to purchase homes and their wants are much different than the 55+ aged buyers who are house hunting too,

Chief economist for realtor.com, Danielle Hale, says they've found a clear difference in priorities based on recent surveys. This time of year is known to be high season for home sales in South Florida, with exemplary weather, stunning real estate and homes on the market. 2018 has been off to a hot start. Palm Beach County’s Administrator, Verdenia Baker stated in her annual ‘State of the County’ address at the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce meeting last week that the market is “on fire.”

The 2108 U.S. Houzz Kitchen Trends Study finds that most homeowners and buyers prioritized storage over all other kitchen uses. Of the 1,700 interviewed, 63% chose storage as the number one desired function of the kitchen. 

Homeowners preparing to sell are remodeling their kitchens to add more storage and organization, with features like revolving corner trays, deep drawer organizers, swing-out shelves.
