Summer in Southeast Florida would not be complete without a watermelon cocktail or mocktail around the pool. Enjoy summer light cocktails before they lose their enticing coolness. Sizzling summer temperatures call for a batch of refreshing drinks. Whether enjoyed poolside, on the boat, at the beach, or on the front porch, fresh and flavorful, watermelon cocktails can help keep you cool.

Capture that sweet taste of summer in a fresh watermelon martini. The recipe uses fresh juice, which is easy to make in the blender, or you can go the low-tech route and mash it up with a muddler. Choose a great vodka and be sure to use fresh lime juice and homemade simple syrup. Shake it all up, and you will have the freshest, fruitiest martini possible.
