This time of year is sea turtle nesting season in Florida. The majestic sea turtles make their way out of the ocean and onto shore to lay their eggs. During the summer months, Jupiter becomes a safe haven for nesting turtles that have been coming to lay their eggs on these beaches for hundreds of years. 

The town makes a great effort to change all of the beach road lighting to an ambient red color that will not disturb the turtles and prevent them from coming ashore to nest. Loggerhead Marinelife Center is an education and ocean conservation facility located in Palm Beach County, Florida.
