Wellington has partnered with Premier Family Health to provide FREE walk-up COVID-19 testing for all Western communities’ residents age 12 and over. It is an important step toward flattening the curve.

Health officials from Premier Family Health will administer and conduct tests at the Village Park Gymnasium, 11700 Pierson Road, Wellington, FL. The first walk-up testing site is now open in the Wellington area.  Dr. Vincent Apicella, with Premier Family Health, says he is hoping to prevent a surge of COVID-19 by diagnosing as many people as possible.  To book an appointment please click here.

Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) was ranked number one hospital for “safety, quality and patient satisfaction” in Palm Beach County. It was announced that the Town of Jupiter’s hospital has been awarded an ‘A’ safety grade rating and is the only hospital in Palm Beach County to earn the highest rating this spring.

Because Coronavirus can be spread easily, countless Palm Beach County residents have resorted to wearing face masks to protect themselves.  The virus is transmissible through human contact and exposure to respiratory droplets from an infected person.  When an infected person coughs or sneezes, they force out respiratory droplets into the air. Today, Martin County leaders will meet up and discuss the county’s next steps in reopening. County Commissioners are holding a meeting this morning at the Blake Library in downtown Stuart. 

The meeting today will review the state guidelines that Governor DeSantis laid out earlier this week about Florida’s plan to reopen in phases. The County Commissioners are currently meeting to make the best decision for the Martin County residents.

The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, in West Palm Beach, has been diligently working to reformat its programming for a digital audience.
