Originally built in 1963 for $400,000, the original North Palm Beach Country Club has since been demolished in lieu of a $19 million overhaul.

Sitting atop stunning views of the Jack-Nicklaus designed golf course on the intracoastal waterway, the new 37,000 square foot clubhouse includes a lavish main dining room seating 166 guests, with a full bar and a 100-inch TV in the center. An outdoor terrace will have a putting green, and the remodeled “resort-style” pool will be complimented by a splash pool for children. Additionally, there will also be a sports bar and happy hour area, outdoor firepits, and a grill room with captain’s chairs and lounges.

The new clubhouse will showcase Chef Joey Giannuzzi from Farmer’s Table, who will bring his…

Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of attending an event at the Kravis Center for Performing Arts in Downtown West Palm Beach understands the level of class and brilliance this venue provides. I was lucky enough to walk across the Kravis Center stage as part of a graduating class of Alexander W. Dreyfoos High School of the Arts, and have experienced the wonderment of their regal ballet performance, The Nutcracker, as one of our family holiday traditions. While the Kravis Center is most notable for the performances it produces, this year outstanding remarks will be made about The Center itself after $50 million worth of upgrades are polished off.

Aside from an expanded lobby, additional restrooms, behind-the-scenes technology improvements, a valet…

Palm Beach County is one of the fishing capitals of the world for good reason. The Gulf Stream, a warm and swift Atlantic Ocean current that originates in the Gulf of Mexico, is closest to land near Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlet, providing abundant amounts of pelagic fish species as close as ¼ mile offshore.

If you don’t have a boat of your own, we have compiled this list of friendly local fishing charters for your convenience. The main target species in our area are mahi-mahi, kingfish, wahoo, tuna, sailfish, snook, snapper, grouper, and tripletail. Swordfish charters are also available for a pricier fee since a lot more specialty knowledge and work goes into a successful trip.

Charter services and…

One of the best things about living in the West Palm Beach area is the fabulous rooftop dining! Downtown West Palm Beach beckons you to visit the tropical courtyards, roof-top bars and cafes lining the streets. Step outside of the proverbial “indoor” box of indoor dining and try something new.

The best roof-top bar can be found at Roxy’s which also happens to be the oldest restaurant in Downtown West Palm Beach.  Roxy’s is adjacent to fantastic shopping, spas, galleries, the Kravis Center, movie theater, convention center and more. Roxy’s is where the locals hang out, street events are thrown and the best place downtown Clematis for a weekend full of food, drinks, music, sports watching and late night dancing.

You’ll find other casual, outdoor…

Hobe Sound is a charming little community just north of the Palm Beach County line within Martin County. The quaint little town is abundant with beautiful beaches, easy to drive roads and a chilled out friendly vibe. Plan an easy day of fun, relaxed things to do in Hobe Sound within proximity to each other.

Harry and the Natives Restaurant has been around since 1941. It’s an eclectic place which advertises to be “Hobe Sound’s only waterfront restaurant…when it rains”!  It’s so old that it has the 9th alcohol license in the district, and places 1 to 8 are no longer up and running. It’s a definite beloved with the locals.  Funky, fun and fan favorite.

The Blowing Rocks are a “point of interest” in Hobe Sound. The preserve was named for its rocky…
