The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach offers a unique program that allows the public to adopt a sea turtle from their sea turtle rehabilitation and research center. The Adaptation Program helps to benefit the continued care for sick and injured sea turtles. The program helps provide food, medications, hospital care, and tank maintenance required for their care while at the center. 

The beaches in our area are popular every March through October during the Sea Turtle Nesting Season. Along the 9.5 miles of sand, thousands of sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand making Juno Beach one of the most populated nesting areas in the world. First of all: people unfamiliar with the area will ask, “Is there good surfing in West Palm Beach?” not understanding that West Palm Beach doesn't really have a beach. Surfing on Palm Beach island is a different story, but the only kind of West Palm Beach surfing is wakeboarding at Shark Wake Park. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a variety of events every day.  The sea turtle research and rehabilitation center added Rescue to Release Virtual Theater Show every day that has become a popular event. 

The event is a virtual realty experience that allows visitors to follow a sea turtles journey from rescue to release back into the ocean. The narrated event uses virtual reality headsets that takes visitors through real action scenes of a sea turtle being rescued, through the hospital and rehabilitation process, and being released back into the ocean. 

The event costs $5 dollars per person and the event is recommended those 8 years old and up.
