Discover Tequesta

Tequesta, a small quite village located in northern Palm Beach County surrounded by the blue waters of the intracoastal waterway and the Loxahatchee River. Tequesta is located just north of Jupiter along US Highway One and to the west of the Jupiter Inlet Colony.
The village was named Tequesta after the Tequesta Indians and in the 1950’s was formed as part of one mans dream. Over the years Tequesta has become a wonderful waterfront and golf course community that over 7,000 people call home.

What is it that makes the Palm Beaches a diver’s paradise? Palm Beach County's coastal waters consist of natural coral formations which are part of the Florida Reef Tract. The “FRT” is the third largest reef tract in the world as well as the continental United States' only living barrier coral reef.
A recent study by the University of Exeter in the UK found that people who live less than a mile from the coast are 22 percent less likely to have symptoms of a mental health disorder compared to those who lived much farther away.
The Paws and Reels Fishing Tournament this past weekend involved more than just fishing. It raised money for Amber's Animal Outreach, and was a celebration of man's best friend as people from Northern Palm Beach County brought their rescue pups along for the festivities.
