The owner of the beloved historic boathouse, known as the Sperry Boathouse, located in Jupiter Inlet Village is currently being re-wrapped for safety and preservation during hurricane season.  Did you know that the original boathouse was built in 1905 by William Sperry of S&H Green Stamps?

In 1853, the United States government began construction of the Jupiter Lighthouse.  It was one of the first locations selected for navigational aid by the U.S. Lighthouse Board.  No known inhabitants lived anywhere near the lighthouse area of construction.  All supplies had to be delivered by ship; many lives were lost by the treacherous coastline.  The lighthouse was completed in 1859. Once again, the tournament is headed to Old Bahama Bay “where the fishing is good and life is easy” on April 30 – May 3rd.  HMY Yachts and Waterfront Properties and Club Communities host the fishing invitational.   Again, this year the tournament is raising awareness and funds for a cure of Cystic Fibrosis.  Paying tribute and honoring the life of Brett Weinstein and the courageous fight, he lost to Cystic Fibrosis.  Additionally, the American Cancer Society has been added because so many have been touched by cancer.

The Jupiter Town Council, Mayor of Tequesta, head of North County Real Estate Board, amongst others are conducting an important public meeting on Thursday, April 17 at 6pm.  The assembly will be held at the Jupiter Community Center, 210 Military Trail Boulevard in Jupiter.
