Together, a group of awe-inspiring local kite surfers and an incredible photographer created, Kiting for Kids, an organization that originated in Jupiter, Florida as a way for the kite surfing and the beach community to pay it forward to children battling cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

Kiting for Kids began last year and had beaches join from Australia to the Bahamas, this year local businesses and families will collect toys and bring them to Kiting for Kids toy drive that will be held on December 6, 2014 at Jupiter Beach, Stairway 33. The toy collection will be from noon onward and famously “The Grinch” will be there to take pictures with the kids.

Veterans Day is a day Americans honor those who have served their country in the armed forces.   It is always celebrated on November 11 and it is not a day to be confused with Memorial Day.  Memorial Day is a day set aside for those who have died in service to their country.

Veterans Day is for all who served in the armed forces.  On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, in 1918, an armistice (agreement) was reached between Allied Nations and Germany.  World War I officially ended. The Stuart Seafood Festival will take place November 15 and 16 in the heart of Downtown Stuart at Memorial Park.
