Several times a month the Loggerhead Marinelife Center pairs with local organizations and hosts a weekly Saturday morning Public Guided Beach Clean Up to help keep our beautiful Jupiter and Juno Beach beaches clean. 

The Beach Clean Up requires not reservations or pre-requirements, simply just show up with a bucket and gloves to protect your hands and begin. The Self- Guided Beach Clean Up was added to their calendar monthly in 2020. The clean-up asks for volunteers help in keeping our beaches clean. It’s important to keep our beautiful beaches clean from debris to help protect our oceans ecosystems and all that live in the ocean.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show is coming back to Palm Beach County. The popular and one of the biggest boat shows in the country will be in our area next weekend. 

The show features over $1.2 billion dollars’ worth of yachts and supplies including over eight hundred boats ranging in all different sizes, from 8 feet to over 100 feet in length. The Boat Show doesn’t just feature hundreds of boats and yachts, but also includes an Aqua Zone, Educational Seminars, a Science Center, Culinary Experiences and much more. 

Tickets are on sale now for the big weekend. Tickets include 1-Day Tickets, 2-Day Tickets, and VIP Tickets. There will be no box office at the event, tickets will need to be purchased in advance.

"Salt Life" is an expression that describes a lifestyle revolving around the ocean. The “salt life” focuses on the ocean for fun activities.  You possibly have noticed bumper stickers on cars up and down the coast as well as in Jupiter. The Town of Jupiter was shaken when two local boys got lost at sea! The AustinBlu Foundation was formed in 2015, in the wake of a tragedy involving two young boaters from Jupiter, on July 24th, 2015. Austin Blu Stephanos was one of those boys and the namesake of this foundation.

The cold weather in Palm Beach County may be out of the ordinary, but it presents a great opportunity to spot manatees at Manatee Lagoon. Mantatee Lagoon is a fun and engaging family-friendly attraction. It features interactive, entertaining exhibits that will spike your curiosity about the environment of the Lake Worth Lagoon and the wonderful world of manatees.

More than thirty manatees were witnessed at the lagoon in West Palm Beach Monday morning. The 28th Annual Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade and 23rd Annual Toy Drive benefiting Toys for Tots and Little Smiles. The event is presented by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC) and gifts to the community, in 2022. The Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade kicks off the holiday season on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at The Holiday Boat. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and arrives in Jupiter at approximately 8 p.m.

Judging is based on three main factors: lights, enthusiasm, and themed decor. There are thousands of dollars worth of prizes to be given away to the top three boats in each category! ANGARI Foundation is dedicated to creating a global community that is interested, knowledgeable, and invested in marine and environmental sciences. Here in Palm Beach County, the ANGARI Foundation is directly supporting research initiatives. They will be releasing 40 Drift Cards and ask the public to help. The purpose of the program is to gain a new understanding of the way marine debris moves in and around Florida’s coastal waterways.
