The Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival is in its 28th year history this weekend, November 13 -15, 2015.  The festival is one of the remaining few true street festivals in South Florida and one of the largest!  The weekend of festivities acknowledges the “community’s rich pineapple heritage.”

John Lawrence Jensen, of Denmark, arrived to the area in 1881.  He set up his plantation and began cultivating and farming pineapples. This area became known as the Town of Jensen. At the brand new Abacoa Community Park, you can run, bike, play, skate and much more!  The park has recently undergone some care and maintenance, making this park ready for season!

The Town of Jupiter recognized the necessity for a park that facilitates with more amnetiries and can offer alternative sports that seem to continue to be more conventional. Because of this, formerly known South Jupiter Community Park converted to Abacoa Communtity Park, that now has two roller hockey rinks and skate park for bikers and skaters that has a highlighted feature of the 9’ foot concrete bowl with many ramps and jumps and playing fields. 

The hockey rink will be re-done with Ice Court, LLC and will refinish the rink’s surface. Just in time for football…

If you have a classic car or you just love to look at them, you have to check out the monthly classic car show amongst the gorgeous and freindly real estate in Abacoa. The Abacoa Town Center Cruise In is held on the first Saturday of every month and the next Classic Car Cruise-In is coming up this Saturday! 

All of the streets that wind through the Abacoa Town Center are blocked off and are lined with impeccable classic cars and cool custom rods. This popular cruise is limited to year 1974 and older vehicles (later models of special interest may be allowed with prior approval). Jupiter Medical Center will be hosting a free family fun night out at the Roger Dean Stadium  in Abacoa to see the Palm Beach Cardinals game!
The Center is going to have a free health fair at 5:30 p.m. in the stadium concourse: “Walk the Bases to Good Health" giving free screenings by Jupiter Medical Center and Nicklaus Children's Hospital Palm Beach Gardens Outpatient Center such as blood pressure, DEXA Heel scans for osteoporosis, body mass index and health risk assessments.
