Every spring the waterfront of West Palm Beach transforms into a four-day popular musical festival featuring some of the world’s biggest bands and musical performers. The Sunfest Music Festival is coming to West Palm Beach Thursday, April 30th through Sunday, May 3rd.

Recently, the performance schedule and musical lineup has been announced. Some of the biggest named stars performing include Darius Rucker, The Revivalists, Adam Lambert, Sea Paul, Nelly, Ne-Yo, Melissa Etheridge, AJR, Cage The Elephant and much more.

On Jupiter Island lies the largest Anastasia Limestone formation in the state. This type of rock runs along the east coast of Florida from Saint John's County down to Palm Beach County. Anastasia formations are composed of embedded sand and coquina limestone. Coquina, meaning "shellfish" in Spanish, is a rock comprised of fragmented shells, mollusks, trilobita (a fossilized group of extinct arthropods (the bug-looking things)), and other invertebrates. Scientists date these rocks to be more than 2.6 million years old.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their second annual Lighthouse Luminary Luncheon this March.

The luncheon is hosted by the Lighthouse Luminaries, who are ambassadors for the Jupiter inlet Lighthouse and Museum. The Lighthouse Luminaries meet socially to promote and fundraise for the preservation of the iconic Lighthouse and other buildings onsite. Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the Jupiter Lighthouse.
