Jupiter, Florida is located at the southern most of the tip of the Treasure Coast.  Early in the 18th century several Spanish galleons shipwrecked off the coastline in the area known as Florida’s Treasure Coast.  In 1715, a fleet of 10 Spanish ships set sail from Havana, Cuba laden with treasure destined for Spain.   Three days into their voyage, nine of the 10 ships sunk off the coast of Florida in an atrocious storm– thus the name, the “Treasure Coast”.  Many of the ships were carrying unknown quantities of silver and gold. Some of the treasure has been recovered, yet some continues to wash up on the shores of the Treasure Coast.
But beyond silver and gold pieces, Jupiter, Florida offers many other treasures for residents and visitors – beautiful sandy beaches, great fishing, golf and tennis, and shopping, restaurants, and nightlife!  The beaches are miles long and easily accessible.  The beach is white and sandy and the ocean is sparkling turquoise blue.  The beach is perfect for sunbathing, walking, or a swimming.  Areas of our beaches are dog friendly.
If you prefer fishing, Jupiter and the surrounding areas, are perfect.   Jupiter Inlet leads directly to the Atlantic Ocean which hosts some of the best year round fishing in the South!  Big game such as marlin, sailfish, yellowfin, trout, redfish, and snook are just offshore.  Jupiter is the snook capital of the world!  For in-shore fishing action check out the Jupiter Inlet, Indian River lagoon, and the Loxahatchee River.  Flats fishing for bonefish, permit, and tarpon is just a few hours away in the Florida Keys.
The Jupiter area is well known for an abundance of public and private championship golf courses and tennis facilities.  If you are an avid player or just a beginner activity will not be an issue.  There are many courses and courts to choose from.  Many professional athletes have found the richness in Jupiter and made it their permanent home.
Summer time is a tranquil time in Jupiter. It is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of tropical breezes, less crowded restaurants and beaches.  Slow down and take time to search for the “treasure” to be found in Jupiter.
