You can fish in the Loxahatchee River. The Loxahatchee River in Jupiter is a wide body of water named from the Native American Seminole word for “river of turtles”. The most popular species caught on the Loxahatchee Riverfront are Snook, Crevalle jack, and Mangrove snapper. Hook and line are the only permissible forms of fishing.

The Loxahatchee River is a 7.6-mile river near the southeast coast of Florida. It is a National Wild and Scenic River, one of only two in the state, and received its federal designation on May 17, 1985. The Loxahatchee River flows out of the Jupiter Inlet and into the Atlantic Ocean.
