Many Southeast Floridians have a lot of confusion about Daylight Savings Time. Daylight Saving Time officially ended at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November the 6, 2022. For decades, shifting the clocks during the months that have the most sunlight was promoted to save energy.

Millions of Americans want to abandon daylight saving time each year. It disrupts our circadian rhythms and creates confusion. More than a third of U.S. states now back a permanent shift to daylight saving time. The biggest boating safety tip for Palm Beach County boaters is always wearing a lifejacket! Most people who drown in a boating accident could swim! Never rely on your ability to swim to keep you safe in a boating-related emergency! It is advised that you wear a United States Coast Guard-approved flotation device. In an emergency such as rough water, the onset of severe weather, or boating trouble like taking on water can occur and leave little time to put on life jackets. Life jackets are difficult to put on once you are in the water!

The month of April has been designated as “Earth Month.” To commemorate Mother Earth, it is a terrific opportunity to share some facts about our beautiful planet.

All the planets, apart from Earth, were named after Greek and Roman gods and goddesses. The name Earth is an English/German name which simply means the “ground.” It comes from the Old English words 'eor(th)e' and 'ertha'. In German it is 'erde'. The name Earth is at least 1000 years old.

So, they have created a ruse that involves leaving a note on your door claiming to have a package for you that could not be delivered. The note contains a phone number to call to reschedule the delivery. If you call the number, you will be greeted with questions related to your personal identity that can later be used to commit fraud.

If you receive a missed delivery note, look at it closely for any mistakes or other signs that it could be fraudulent. It is also a good idea to check your…
