Hometown Heroes appreciation day is Saturday, June 18, 2022, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The event will take place at Cox Science Center and Aquarium located at 4801 Dreher Trail North, in West Palm Beach. The museum was previously known as the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium.

Hometown Heroes include Veterans, Active-Duty Military, First Responders, Gold Star Families and up to four of their guests. Heroes must provide valid identification.

To salute the hometown heroes will include:

-        Military vehicle demonstrations

-        Meet and greet with local armed forces

-        Live science demonstrations

-        Military demonstrations

-        BBQ for the heroes and their family

First Responders enjoy a complimentary game of bowling at Bolero Bowling Alley & Entertainment, located at 350 Maplewood Drive, Jupiter. As a great big thank you to all area First Responders, the bowling establishment wants to show their gratitude in this unique way.
