Jupiter is home to one of the very few remaining dog friendly beaches in the State of Florida and the only dog friendly beach in Palm Beach County. In 1989, the Town of Jupiter adapted a policy to allow dogs to roam freely in a 2.5 mile stretch of the beach. 

The dog friendly beach stretched from beach marker #59 at Carlin Park south to beach marker #25 at Marcinski Road. In this designated area, dogs are allowed to roam freely but must be always supervised.

Dogs are allowed on the beach from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week. The Town of Jupiter has adopted a set of rules that they would like all pet owners to follow. The Friends of Jupiter provides free waste bags at every cross over along the designated dog friendly stretch.

The beautiful, clean beaches in Jupiter are a sense of pride for residents. As an ambassador at the beach, share information with dog owners about  Friends of Jupiter Beach. Since 1994 the mission has been to keep Jupiter beach clean and dog friendly. Friends of Jupiter Beach provide beach visitors and their pets with dog bags which help ensure dog beach etiquette and a clean beach for all to enjoy.

The Friends of Jupiter Beach offer monthly beach cleanups, dog beach etiquette reminders, and collect debris on the beach. As an ambassador of the beach, you set schedules, no set times…you share the information when YOU want to go to the beach!

Attention dog owners!  Mounts Botanical Garden, 531 North Military Trail in West Palm Beach is turning its annual Dogs’ Day in the Garden into a monthly event, beginning Sunday, December 13, 2020. Bring your four- legged family member for a delightful garden stroll on the second Sunday each month, 9 am-3 pm.  

You will find some great spots around the garden for fun photos with your fur baby! If you post pictures, please use #MountsBotanicalGarden and Mounts will share your photos. Moving ahead, this fun experience for both humans and their fur-babies held on the second Sunday of each month through May 9, 2021.  The event will be held throughout the Garden, and regular admission applies: $10 (general); $5 (children 5-12), and free for members.
