Saturdays In September at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary
Are you looking for something to entertain the kids that’s fun and inexpensive? Visit the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturdays in September.
The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit organization committed to protecting Florida’s wildlife. The sanctuary provides free complete medical and rehabilitative care to just about 5,000 injured wild animals each year. They run solely on contributions, fundraising and private grants. They do not charge an admission fee, but accept donations. Your donations help the sanctuary in providing food, shelter and medicine for the animals.
Busch Wildlife also offers environmental education opportunities with regularly scheduled programs about nature, wildlife and the environment. Daily public programs include wildlife encounters, alligator and crocodile feeding, story time, hunters of the skies, snakes alive and more!
Saturdays in September, Busch Wildlife offers a scavenger hunt from 10am to 4pm. For only $2.00 per sheet, you will receive one raffle ticket per sheet to be entered to win a t-shirt. Explore the sanctuary for items on the sheet and come up close and personal to a variety of animals such as bald eagles, Florida panthers, deer, otters, foxes, alligators, bears and a lot more!
Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day at Busch Wildlife learning about local wildlife.
