Run 4 The Sea This Weekend in Juno Beach
Tomorrow, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is hosting their 7th Annual Run 4 The Sea. The race is 4 miles long and begins at 7am, Saturday June 16th, and is open to runners and walkers. Following the start of the 4-mile run there will also be a 1-mile Kids Fun Run starting at 8:15 am.
The purpose of the run is to support and raise money for the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to provide rehabilitation to injured and endangered sea turtles and to promote the conservation of the ocean.
After the run, participants are invited to stay and enjoy a post-race celebration with kid’s activities, breakfast vendors, music, and an award ceremony. Awards will be presented to the Top Overall male and female, Top Three male and female for different age groups, and Master male and female. Gift bags with a t-shirt and finishing medals will be given to all runners.
Registration for the race begins at 6:15 am tomorrow morning. The cost to join is $45 dollars per person and for the Kid’s Fun Run the cost is $10 dollars, each child will receive a medal and a t-shirt.
Parking will be available at the Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach as well as parking at the Juno Beach Pier Park. The start and finish line is located behind the Loggerhead Marinelife Center on Ocean Drive. Runners will run along Ocean Drive past the Juno Beach Pier and turn around and run back. Those who have signed up already can pick up their race packets today from 11 am to 7 pm at Keola Health & Well-Being Footwear located at the Downtown at the Gardens. The race packets can also be picked up before the race at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The race is weather permitting, check out their Facebook page for updates if the weather is bad.
