South Florida
November is the time of the year where it is tradition to reflect on what we have, where we live and how grateful we are. South Florida is a pleasing area and is one of the top destinations for tourists and explorers considering taking a nice break from their own hustle and bustle, however for those of us who call South Florida 'home', 365 days a year, its more than just a getaway. It is a way of life.
So this Thanksgiving, we take the time out to give South Florida a thank you and here is a list of just a few among many things that make South Florida so special:
1. The Year-Round Beautiful Weather
The weather is what South Florida may be most thankful for, hence its name: The Sunshine State. In the winter days, the weather may receive a couple cold fronts but to locals it is more like a “Holiday Feeling”, and it is perfectly acceptable to wear sandals all year round.
2. Natural Beauty
Florida has its own and unique type of attractiveness. From calming beaches, rough and dramatic oceans to breath-taking sunset views are only to name a few of the highlights of living in South Florida. “This is the type of place where we have water babies of all ages.” Whether you enjoy paddle boarding, fishing or want to go on a scuba diving venture, South Florida is the place to explore. The vibrant color of the woodsy areas and the ultimate feel is just so naturally beautiful.
3. The Diversity & Architecture
The countless cultures and diversity of the community in South Florida also make it one of the most matchless places to call home. The humanities make it have such an international air; allowing people to experience the different values and principles.
The architecture changes from Mediterranean style stone to tiled roofs of Boca Raton, Florida to candy painted buildings in Miami Beach, Florida, we have so much to look at throughout South Florida.
4. The Miami Heat
The Miami Heat seems to be the best spectacle in town, ever since Pat Riley started to oversee all basketball operations. Four NBA Championship titles since the start of 2005 and the most dramatic entertainment anyone could find in the world of sports.
5. The Festivals
South Florida weather allows for many big outdoor festivals and to name a few from The Art Basel, to the Seafood and Wine Festivals, SunFest and Boat Parades. South Florida is an international city that hosts multiple events. This means you don’t have to travel far and take time off work to have a good time as many events come right to your front door.
