Rapids River Water Park Reopening This Weekend
The popular water park is reopening for the summer season this Saturday, March 9th. Rapids Rivers Water Park is the largest water park in all of South Florida with more than 30 acres of waterslides, pools, and much more. This year the park is celebrating its 40th Anniversary.
The water park features 35 water slides ranging in all levels of intensity. Some of the water slides include rafts that can hold up to six people at a time. The fun water park includes a kid’s zone, surfing, body boarding, a lazy river, food and drinks, and souvenirs just to name a few. The park also can accommodate and hosts special events, parties, school trips, and cabana rentals are available to rent throughout the day.
Rapids is divided into three main sections based on thrill level: The Biggest, The Coolest, and The Wettest. The Biggest section features thrilling water slides with turns and twists in the dark, two 70-foot-high enclosed flume water slides, and a 45-degree angle drops. The Coolest section features six water slides with turns and twists at high speeds. The Wettest area features a splash zone, kid’s zone, water foundations, and lazy rivers. Some of the popular water slides include: Black Thunder, Big Thunder, Brain Drain, Big Red, Baby Blue, FlowRider and much more.
The park is opening this Saturday, March 9th and will remain open every day until the fall. Admission is required to enjoy a day of fun. Regular priced admission Monday through Friday is $42.99 plus tax and Saturdays and Sundays is $47.99 plus tax. Children ages 2 and under are free. Rapids River Water Park also offers a Gold Season Pass program for $99.95 dollars per person plus tax.
