The 5th annual Palm Beach County Mayor's Ball hosted by the Homeless Coalition takes place this Saturday, March 10th at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

Proceeds from the gala benefit the non-profit Coalition's "Creating Housing Opportunities" program, which moves homeless families and individuals into permanent housing. The ball is the only one to help all sections of the county.

Guests will enjoy this red carpet event, complete with complimentary valet parking, a tent city, cocktails, dinner, dancing, and surprise entertainment.

The night will be focused on the homeless issue in our area, with stories about how the program has helped improve the quality of life for many people. To date, the CHO program has moved 1,308 people into permanent homes. However there is still a serious number of homeless in the county, for example the 4,300 homeless students documented by the Palm Beach County School District this year.

“The homeless in our community often hide behind a mask that everything is okay. They don’t want people to know about their situation, out of fear of losing their job, or worse their children. This often makes them feel invisible,” said Homeless Coalition Executive Director, Marilyn Munoz, "We want to help people see behind the mask, understand that there is a need and step up to help.”

Join other leaders in the community to "be the change," at this year's Palm Beach County Mayor's Ball.
