Now on display at The Waterfront on West Palm Beach is the internationally recognized art installation known as “Los Trompos” or “Spinning Tops.” Created by two Mexican, contemporary artists, these colorful tops are interactive so you touch, see and feel them.

The Waterfront has been transformed into a medley of vivid colors while Los Trompos are in town. Artists, Hector Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena are the masterminds behind these beautiful tops. The installation is comprised of 20, 3D spinning tops that have been described as “larder than life.” The tops are made of different medium from rope to metal. All of the tops inspiration comes from the artists’ childhood toys. Each one has its own unique shape, color and spin, and are inspired by nature and different Latin American designs and folklore.  So, be sure to bring your family and friends out to climb atop the “Trompos” and experience their beautiful.

Los Trompos are in town until August 28th. Presented by West Palm Beach Art in Public Places the installation is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. They are open to the public and free of charge.
